Where it all began

In the spring of 2018, pet brand District 70 was created. Back then in a small village in Westland, now from the historic and former Van Nelle factory in Rotterdam. Together with a creative team and love for pets, we create stylish solutions for dogs and cats. We do this without compromising on quality, functionality and design.

Our story

For many pet lovers, there is one dilemma: how do I keep my cat or dog happy without exposing my interior to traditional, non-interior-resistant scratching posts, dog beds or feeders? From this frustration at the lack of elegant pet accessories, District 70 was born!

There is a story behind our logo, as well! The 70, for instance, stands for the fact that cats and dogs spend about 70% of their time in the same place - or as we like to call it - their district.

What makes us unique?

The feeling of home always comes first for us. Our goal is to inspire interior lovers with cats and dogs to create a home where details make all the difference. We believe you can have it all - great design, comfort and quality for your pet. 

District 70's first product was, the now well-known, SARDINE scratching furniture. A striking design which we also call ‘’eye-catcher‘’! A great favourite of many cats. Not much later followed the CASA cat houses, which now also come in teddy fabric. Whereas in the first year we mainly designed furniture for cats, dogs followed not much later. Our CLASSIC dog bed was our first dog bed and still is one of our bestsellers. Since then, we have added many different dog beds and other pet accessories to our range.

Besides designing for the comfort of dogs and cats, we certainly don't forget functionality. In 2022, we launched an elegant bamboo slowfeeder. The innovative design is both practical and stylish, as well as high quality compared to many plastic alternatives on the market. We strive to balance these three key factors - quality, functionality and design.
